Can I Get A Witness?

December 2nd, 2008 . by Erin

Even though it is Tuesday, I have decided to make this week ‘Great Oldies Week’. I was playing around on YouTube the other day and came across some great oldies songs that have been favorites of mine for most of my life. Starting today I will be posting a new good time oldie every day this week.

I’m still job hunting like a crazy woman so I would rather do something like this, instead of not posting at all. When I find a job and things start to settle down I will be back with a vengeance with more blog fodder then you can believe.

For my first selection I tried to find something that would be fun to listen to, and thankfully since music videos have been made since the dawn of time, it makes my job easier!

Ladies and Gentleman, Mr. Marvin Gaye singing ‘Can I Get A Witness’

I grew up listening to oldies!! My dad has a 1965 Mustang fully restored and oldies are the only music allowed in his car!! Matter of fact he still has an 8-track in it!!

    Uh. That’s Eddie Murphy.
    What movie is that from?

I still like the song. I was looking for a song to post from back then too. I will be putting it up a little later. Let me know if you recognize it!

Sheila - That is actually Marvin Gaye. The preacher looks a lot like Eddie Murphy but that is the actual music video for the song.

I knew the song was Marvin Gaye but I was wrong about the preacher being Eddie Murphy. I was taking a quick glance and I thought the bride looked like another actress.
Thanks for correcting me. I had to look again.
